This multi-phase renovation transformed the first floor of UAB’s Mervyn H. Sterne Library into a dynamic, student-focused hub while allowing operations to continue uninterrupted. The project introduced a welcoming café, a modernized information commons, a dedicated writing center, and a state-of-the-art Center for Teaching and Learning. Additionally, upgraded user spaces and enhanced restrooms improved both functionality and accessibility, creating a more engaging and efficient environment for students and faculty.
